What's the jewelry made of? Laura A. Frank Designs, aka LAF Designs, jewelry is made of sterling silver, gold and precious and semi-precious stones.

To achieve different looks, various surface treatments have been applied to the sterling silver silver collections. Such as, high polished, brushed, matted, sandblasted, or plated. Our plating finish is 24k gold vermeil over the sterling silver, giving the pieces a warm and rich gold tone.

Please keep in mind that these are all surface treatments and they may vary with wear and time.

On the sterling silver pieces, all chains, wires and findings, such as earring backs and clasps are sterling silver as well. On the gold pieces, gold-filled wire, chain and findings is used.

All pieces shown under "High Karat Gold" pages are indeed solid 14k, 18k and 20k gold as specified.

All beads are semi-precious and precious stones handpicked by the artist herself. Time and effort has been put into photographing each piece of jewelry, but please be aware that variations in color may occur due to monitor settings.

How long do I have to wait for my piece to arrive? Once you place your order most pieces ship in 24-72 hrs. We ship via USPS (Flat rate Priority Mail) unless otherwise requested. Local shipments can be as fast as 1 to 2 days, west coast 5-7 business days. We can also express a shipment to you if necessary, please contact us, subject line, RUSH shipment, prior to placing the order online to discuss this option. Please note that Original Artwok may require special shipping packaging and may need extra shipping charges. As you can imagine, shipping a small piece of jewelry is simply not the same as shipping a larger piece of encaustic artwork :) We will contact you when you place the order to discuss this further.

The item I want is out of stock. When will it be back in stock? Our work is all handmade and produced in very limited quantities, guaranteeing a unique piece for our customers. In some cases, they are indeed One of a Kind, so once it’s sold it’s gone. However, if an item is out of stock, please email us right away, if you're willing to wait, depending on the piece, we may be able to make another one and send it out to you in 2 to 6 weeks.

I have more than one promotional code, may I use them at the same time? On occasion we send out promotional codes as a courtesy, as an incentive and to show our appreciation to our beloved customers. Please be aware that, you may only use one promo code per sale. Also, promo codes may not be used to purchase Gift Certificates, for items that are already discounted and marked on sale, for special orders and for repairs. If a promo code has been used incorrectly, we reserve the right to hold shipment of merchandise until full payment has been arranged.

What is your return and replacement policy? when shopping in our online shop, please keep in mind the nature of our business. I am an artist and designer creating unique, one of a kind, hand-made items in small scale production in my beloved art studio. It is my intention to create special pieces with love and care that my customers will shop for thoughtfully and wear with enjoyment and love for many years. If you are unhappy with the item (please note exceptions bellow *) that you have purchased from our website, we will honor a refund as a store credit or an exchange. Please contact us immediately, within 14 days of receipt so we may approve your refund/exchange. Items must be returned with their original packaging in new/unused condition. We only accept refund/exchanges for purchases from our online store. Products purchased through another retailer are subject to the retailer’s individual store policy and must be returned to the retailer. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer and will not be refunded.

*Exceptions: Please note, all items on sale, special orders, international orders and items listed under our “Made To Order Designs” section of our store are final sales.

*We cannot accept returns without an RA number.

What are your terms regarding “Made to Order Designs” products? Products featured in our "made to order designs" section of our store are fulfilled by US manufacturing partners. Due to the nature of this manufacturing process, returns and exchanges of these items are not possible as we do not keep inventory. If you have any questions before or after completing your order, feel free to get in touch with us. Before delivery, all items are thoroughly inspected, however if you discover any issues with your items once received, please contact us instantly so we can address them.

All international orders are final sale and cannot be returned for credit. Duties and Tariffs do apply for international orders, including Canada. Customers are responsible for all duties, taxes and customs fees.

Repairs.

Things happen and of course, we want to be there for you when they do. Please, do keep in mind though that repairing a broken item takes time and labor. So, we have a couple of steps that we ask you to follow. Please first email us to receive a repair authorization number and instruction on how to proceed. Please include your purchase order number, purchase date and a description of the problem. Under most circumstances, we will repair your jewelry within one year of purchase for free. However, we retain the right to charge a repair fee at our own discretion. 

Jewelry purchased from another retailer:
Please return the damaged jewelry to the retailer from which it was purchased.
